Did you know...when you loan-shop, you get shopped around? It's harmful to shop your credit. SCORES DROP: Credit Bureaus often say many credit inquiries over a 45-day period result in only one credit score penalty for that first inquiry - but that's a half-truth. This only works when ALL lenders pulling credit subscribe to FICO-NEXTGEN, not the standard FICO-CLASSIC. Since only 11% of all lenders have adopted FICO-NEXTGEN, you are hurting your scores by shopping around. YOUR NAME GETS SOLD: Your interest in a new loan is big business, as the credit bureaus will sell you as as a credit lead. Without fail, your identity and credit is exposed to many people you don't know, and don't want to. Shopping around increases your exposure to identity theft. PROMISES, PROMISES: Mortgage funds come from the same places at the same costs for all lenders. So lowball quotes almost always result in disappointment for you. Quite simply, you are told what you want to hear - then things change for the worse at closing. If you shop, INTERVIEW FIRST. PRIVACY MATTERS: Keep identity information to yourself - including social security numbers, dates-of-birth, even your full names and addresses, etc. Lenders can pull credit with very little info. TANGLED WEB: Please do NOT place your information on the web, which often crosses borders and delivers dismal results (over 95% of online applications fail, with your private info now shared with the World). Many online lenders make more from selling leads than making loans. CHOOSE ONE: Look to choose one Professional for you (not just a company, but a specific person) - only then share this info for your benefit. RELAX: Then expect the best results, protecting your identity and enjoying accountability from your chosen home loan professional.
I am vitally concerned with protecting your information throughout your loan process. I insist on high-level protection while making your experience comfortable, simple, safe and inexpensive.
CREDIT ISSUES: You do NOT need a "credit-problem" mortgage broker if you have credit issues, as all those programs are available at a properly-equipped mortgage bank. Just call me and expect better. |
